State Coordinators

Regional Organizer, Beth Poteet, holds a speaker tour with Centolia Maldonado Vasquez from Oaxaca, Mexico.

Witness for Peace (WFP) is a politically independent, grassroots organization made up of people committed to nonviolence and led by faith and conscience. Our mission is to support peace, justice, and sustainable economies in the Americas by changing US policies and corporate practices that contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean. We stand with people who seek justice.

The very important role of volunteer Witness for Peace State Coordinators is to help keep people engaged in the WFP campaigns, currently addressing issues of Economic Justice and U.S. Military Aid. Through international programs and US – based grassroots activism, Witness for Peace (WFP) works to transform US public opinion, government policy, and corporate practices. WFP delegations to Latin America and the Caribbean provide a life transforming experience. People return home eager and willing to work to change US foreign policy and to educate the broader public. The State Coordinator serves as a vital link between the grassroots and furthering the impact of WFP's work.
