Calling all potential art collectors!  Dozens of Witness for Peace members and friends gathered for Witness for Peace's annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction, this year at the incredible Peace Mural Exhibition in Washington, DC. In addition to enjoying the fellowship, artwork and beautiful array silent auction items, we were spellbound by local actor/playwright Anu Yadav's powerful monologues. As part of the evening's festivities, the exhibition's artist Huong - herself a refugee from the Vietnam War - shared a moving tribute to all war refugees, providing us with a stark reminder of the importance of our continued work for peace. Huong then surprised us by dedicating a special painting with peace doves to Witness for Peace (pictured here) and generously offering the proceeds of its sale as her contribution to our work!
The painting will be at the DC exhibition through the end of January, so if you or someone you know would like to look at it "in person", you can visit the exhibition at 3336 M Street, NW, Washington, DC and ask to see the painting that was donated to Witness for Peace.
