Calling all potential art collectors!
Dozens of Witness for Peace members and friends gathered for Witness for Peace's annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction, this year at the incredible Peace Mural Exhibition in Washington, DC. In addition to enjoying the fellowship, artwork and beautiful array silent auction items, we were spellbound by local actor/playwright Anu Yadav's powerful monologues.
As part of the evening's festivities, the exhibition's artist Huong - herself a refugee from the Vietnam War - shared a moving tribute to all war refugees, providing us with a stark reminder of the importance of our continued work for peace.
Huong then surprised us by dedicating a special painting with peace doves to Witness for Peace (pictured here) and generously offering the proceeds of its sale as her contribution to our work!
Help us find the lucky art collector who will take home this stunning work of art while supporting Witness for Peace. The value of this collectible painting is $3500, and we have a limited opportunity to find a buyer through the end of DC exhibition in January. Please contact WFP Board Member Paul Lewin (760-567-8068) to learn more about how you can acquire this beautiful painting while supporting Witness for Peace.
The painting will be at the DC exhibition through the end of January, so if you or someone you know would like to look at it "in person", you can visit the exhibition at 3336 M Street, NW, Washington, DC and ask to see the painting that was donated to Witness for Peace.
Watch this short video of Huong and the Peace Mural to learn more about this remarkable artist. Witness for Peace is proud to be an organizational co-sponsor of the Peace Mural. If you're in the DC area and couldn't attend our Holiday Party, you definitely should see it while it is in town.
