Jim Flynn
Delegation Scholarship Fund:
Reverend Jim Flynn has a rich history of peace and justice work through
WFP. He has led or participated in more than 14 WFP delegations to
Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, and Colombia. He has served on the WFP
international team in Nicaragua and Guatemala, as Kentucky state
coordinator for WFP, and on the WFP National Board of Directors. And,
during his 50th anniversary commemoration Jim spearheaded a WFP delegation
scholarship fundraising effort that brought in close to $12,000! This
scholarship fund will enable WFP to grow the number of delegates who may
not otherwise be able to travel with us due to economic hardship and to
expand our outreach to people of color. Please consider contributing to
this fund to make our delegations open to as many people as possible.

How do you
want to be remembered?
Is peace and justice in Latin America and the
Caribbean part of your lasting legacy?
Most of us want to be remembered for what we considered significant
in our lives. Writing a will is our final way of remembering the
people and causes that were important to us. Writing a will is one
way to shape your legacy.
Witness for Peace will put each bequest into a special endowment
account permanently named for you, the donor. Thereafter, each year
in perpetuity, income from your bequest endowment will be used to
support Witness for Peace’s work of peace, justice, sustainable
economies, and transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The
proper wording for including Witness for Peace in your will is as
follows: “I bequeath to Witness for Peace, a non-profit
organization incorporated in Maine and headquartered in Washington,
DC, the sum of $_____________ (or _____________%) of the remainder
of my estate.” If you decide that WFP is going to be a part of your
lasting legacy, we’d love to know.
Thank you for your support and caring. If you have any questions,
please contact our Development Director, Michael Privette, at 202-547-6112 or at
privette@witnessforpeace.org. |
