  • Colombia Report
    A website with information about many aspects of the armed conflict in Colombia and U.S. involvement, including comprehensive "links" page.
  • Foreign Policy in Focus
    This "think tank without walls" functions as an international network of more than 650 policy analysts and advocates, with a commitment to advancing a citizen-based foreign policy agenda. The website has a number of policy reports generated on the topic of Colombia.
  • IPS Drug Policy
    The Institute for Policy Studies takes a critical look at current U.S. drug policy.
  • Latin America Working Group
    The LAWG is a coalition of over sixty religious, human rights, policy, grassroots and development organizations. Its website contains action alerts, legislative updates, and other current policy-oriented bulletins.
  • RAND Report
    The RAND Corporation, a conservative think tank, produced this 1994 report "Controlling Cocaine," showing that drug treatment programs were 23 times more cost effective than source country eradication of coca.
  • State Department Human Rights Report on Colombia
    This February 2001by the U.S. Department of State is critical of the current human rights situation in Colombia.

    The official State Department website on Plan Colombia. This is less critical than the human rights report.
  • U.S. Office on Colombia
    USOC seeks to educate U.S. policymakers, the media and public about the impact of U.S. policy on Colombia. By supporting Colombian civil society initiatives and broadening knowledge, understanding and debate, it aims to assist in the development of policy solutions. USOC produces a weekly e-mail service InfoBrief.
