US Cuba Policy -
Enough is Enough! (5/5/06)
HOW DID YOUR
REPRESENTATIVE VOTE?
Last year,
three amendments to the Treasury Appropriations bill to loosen
travel restrictions did not pass.
Check to see
how your Congress person voted:
-
Davis
Amendment to restore family travel
-

-
Rangel
"end-the-embargo" amendment
FOLLOW
THE MONEY!
Many
Congresspeople changed their votes since last year under pressure
from Republican leadership, and after receiving campaign contributions
from the pro-embargo "US Cuba Democracy PAC."
You
can check on the details of US-Cuba Democracy PAC's gifts to Congress
people at Open Secrets.org

PETITION
- National
Cuba Petition
For the past six years the House has voted to end the ban on travel
to Cuba Each year the Cuba provision gets taken out. This petition
demands that after the amendments are passed the bill must reach
the President without changes. The petition will be delivered
before the votes happen in the summer and again in the fall,
when they usually try to take the amendments out.
