Accompany Colombians in a historic struggle this May during a daring civil strike against violence and displacement in the port city of Buenaventura; where “free trade” impoverishes the population while enriching transnational business. This delegation will see Afro-Colombian social and labor movements in brave resistance to the oppression, exploitation, and extortion plaguing Colombia’s largest port. We accompany these protesters in solidarity and to increase their visibility and safety. Also,

· Meet the movement of sugar cane cutters organizing for labor rights in Valle del Cauca

·Visit the injured General Motors workers still waiting for justice in Bogotá

·Experience a presidential election day (May 25th)

Two Travel Options:

Option 1: May 18-27, cost $1,300

Option 2: May 18-24, cost $1,050
